Loving my iPhone!!! (in Rhode Island)

Well, I am up in Rhode Island right now and it has been quite some time since I have posted the last time! Sorry about that! Life has been insanely beusy these last few weeks! God has answered SO MANY PRAYERS!!!!

Well two weeks ago My family and I went up to Jacksonville with Eric and Sylvia Cheske for thanksgiving! It was a great trip! We were there for several days, and other than the lack of sleep every night (because of Will) it was a wonderful trip!

We came home and within that next week I got an iPhone, a new vehicle, and we had our Christmas performance: "The Splendor of Christmas"

I will work my way back explaining wach of those:

The Splendor of Christmas: What a busy week it was, almost every night we were out at the church practicing or setting things up for the show... We did the show twice this year (Saturday and Sunday night at 6:00pm) on Saturday night we saw at least 12 people accept Christ, and on Sunday night there were at least 6 people that accepted Christ! God definitely answered our prayers and made both nights a great success!!

Our New Vehicle: Katie and I have been searching for a new vehicle for the past few months and we really fell in love with the Ford Expedition. Well, I found one on Craigs list that was for sale in Cape Coral so on Monday we drove down to cape coral, looked at the vehicle asked him if He would take a little less and then we agreed on a price! What a great deal we got. This 2003 Expedition looks beautiful! We were able to go get in on Thursday and drive it for a few days before we left town. It is a great car! Beautiful inside and out! It looks brand new! The previous owners took GREAT CARE OF IT! Once again: Praise the Lord!

My new iPhone:... :) ..... need I say more! WOW! THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!! This was such an incredible Christmas Gift! I can do anything on this phone! It will manage my bank accounts, pop popcorn, control my TiVo, guide me with directions, entertain me for hours and hours, AND I CAN EVEN MAKE PHONE CALLS WITH IT!!!!! WOW!!!!!! I cannot wait to show everyone at Christmas all of the things that this phone will do!

Well, I have typed too much for now, so I am going to go for now... Thanks for reading! Pray for us as we are on our vacation right now and we have been VERY SICK!!!

We are so blessed!!!!

Merry Christmas to Lee and Katie Tomlin (and Will)

Today Katie and I went and test drove this new vehicle. I have been searching for the right suv for quite sometime and I have been really liking the Ford Expedition more and more.
Well, today God brought a great deal to us, and we are so thankful and excited!
It is a great car owned by a very nice family who took VERY GOOD CARE of it! We offered him a little bit less than the asking price (without being offensive) and he accepted it!
I will probably be going to get it within the next day or two depending on when I can fit it in.
This is one incredibly busy week and that was before we were buying a new car!
Well, here are some pictures for you to check out! What do you think?

Getting Ready for Christmas!!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Will. He was at work helping Daddy and the only way to keep him happy is to let him eat ipod cables... (don't tell mommy!!!) By the way: He is not normally naked at work, but we had a rough/ wet day all over daddy's office!

Will helping Daddy with the Christmas Tree

Will Playing with all of the Christmas Lights!! Seconds later he was tasting the christmas light!!

Well, tonight Katie talked me into putting up the Christmas tree... to most people any time before Thankgiving is crazy, but this is better than past years. Last year we had out tree up in October, so this year we are a little more normal.

It was lots of fun! Everything is very new to Will which makes it so exciting to watch!! Tonight we wrapped Will up in Christmas light and he loved it! (until daddy took them from him because he was trying to eat them)
We are already in the Christmas spirit, we have the screen door open and it is about 65 degrees in the house, we have had Christmas music playing all night and Katie was even offering me Hot Chocolate!! I opted for the sweet tea instead, but it was still an option!

We put the tree up so early because we will be out of town for wuite some time during the holidays... Here is our vacation schedule...

Thanksgiving: November 26th - 29th with My Family in Jax.

Christmas #1: December 8th - 13th with Katies Family in Rhode Island

Christmas #2: December 22nd - 27th with My Family in Jax.

New Years Eve: HOME SWEET HOME!!!!!

Well, hopefully you can understand why we are getting ready for Christmas so early, because it will be over before we know it!!

This is definitely one of the most blessed Christmas's of my life! It will be so fun to be with friends and family throughout this entire holiday season!!

Thank You Lord for your Blessings!!!

Tonight was the second night of our YOUTHTUBE series. This is a series of message that adress our influences... The first week was: What Influences You? The second week: Who Influences You? and Next Week, the final week will be: Who do you Influence...

It has been a fun series. Tomorrow night I am getting together with the youth group to make some videos! I am excited! Especially because we are going to have Little Ceasers Pizza! They just opened up two weeks ago and I alread have been there three times! I love the CRAZY BREAD!

So that is happening tomorrow night and then we will not be having another youth service until DECEMBER!! Can you believe it!! TIME FLIES BY!!! I am so excited about Christmas this year... I am ready to get out my favorite Christmas CD: David Phelps: One Wintry Night...

Alrighty, well I am going to go play with our internet and see if I can hook it up to my XBOX 360. We got the cable and internet last night and I also went to wal-mart and figured out how to hook up the wireless router!! I am using it right now!

I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!!!!

By the way... I am in serious need of an iphone. It is unbelievable the many many different things you can use it for! I NEED I NEED... :) ok, maybe not need, but That sure would be cool...

If I don't get it, I would still be the most blessed person that I know!

Thank God!

I love you all!

What a week...

This has been some week. God has blessed in so many ways and although it was probably the busiest week I can ever remember, I am thankful for all of it!

A little over a week ago, Katies parents came into town and we went and closed on the new house in Sabal Trace Villas. So beginning last week, (one week ago today) we started moving into our new home. Monday and Tuesday were big moving days when I wasnt running to the printing company and the local public schools to put out the flyers for Trunk or Treat. Then Wednesday we had our Costume Party in the youth group. Thursday, I was at the dentinst early in the morning trying to get my crown glued back in. They told me if this glue does not work then they will have to make a whole new crown!!! Pray it works!! The rest of Thursday was a busy day of getting all of the last minute things ready for Trunk or Treat, and then Friday we were basically here setting up for Trunk or Treat all day.

Trunk or Treat was a great success! We had over 1,200 registered attenders. (that is not including any workers, church members, or road side parkers who just snuck in) We were able to get the gospel in every persons hand and also we were able to make many connections with people who said they would love to get more information about our church! What a blessing! We need to pray that we can reach those people who are interested and have them come to one of our services!

Then Saturday we had Men's Prayer Breakfast at 6:30 AM at Perkins in North Port. We had a record attendance of men. There were 22 of us there at 6:30 am! It was a great time of prayer and fun fellowship.

After prayer meeting we went back to the church to clean up from trunk or treat, and then we went and helped Barb Howes move everything from her storage unit back into her house.

Then, Sunday was our churches Anniversary Sunday!! It was such a great day!! We had a fun service in the morning and then we all went out to Port Charlotte Beach and ate and played games and spent the whole afternoon out there together just fellowshiping!

Last night Katie and I spent a nice evening at home and just relaxed and went to bed by 9:30. That was aearly, but it was nice.

In our devotions today we read Proverbs 3... I love verse 33. May we each seek to make our family the "godly" family simply because of our heart and our actions... That is what Joseph did... His entire family was blessed because He was faithful!

Pray for me this week... we have a potentially life changing decision to make by Friday. We are praying fervently and ask that you pray with us!

With Love, Lee

GUESS WHERE I AM GOING TOMORROW NIGHT!!

GUESS WHERE I AM GOING TOMORROW??
I AM GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!
Let me tell you how it all happened:
Yesterday Katie and I were driving home and she wanted a chicken sandwich. She told me to go to McD's or Chick Fli'A. I told her that McD's was easier because it was on our side of the road. I was about to pull in when she changed her mind and said, No, go ahead and go to Chick Fil-A. So I did. When we got there, there were news media everywhere. I asked the drive through employee what was going on and she said that our local minor league team was hosting an event. She also told us they were giving away two World Series Tickets. Needless to say, I went in and filled out a flyer for the drawing...
THEN THIS MORNING I GOT A CALL ON MY CELL TELLING ME THAT WE WON THE TICKETS!!!!!
I won two tickets to the World Series!!
PRAISE GOD!! WE ARE SO BLESSED!

The Right Tool is so important...

How many times have you tried to do a job with the wrong tool? Maybe it wasnt even a "wrong" tool, just not the right tool or the best tool. Well, today I was able to see first hand how important it is to have the right tool for each job that you do.

I began the day today with a messy yard and many overgrown trees in the side and back yard. I called up a man in my church who owns a lawn business. He had nothing to do this morning and so he brought over all of his equipment.

He had everything from the right mower, the right weed-eater, the right chain saw, the right truck, and the right blower.

We began working this morning about 10:30am and by 12:30 we were done. The work that we accomplished in just two hours would have taken me almost two days to accomplish without the "right tools".

I cannot imagine using my little saw or my hedge trimmers and a ladder to slowly take down the palm branches that easily came down with a brush of the extended chain saw. That tree alone would have taken hours, yet with the right tool it took just a few moments.

It would have been quite frustrating to try to load a mountain of brush into trash cans and then figure out when to put it all out by the road...

I think you get the picture.

This made me think: How many times in life do we use the wrong tool? How many times do we endure frustration and waste a lot of time because we are not using the best tools. Whether we are in ministry and talkins about different administrative processes or at home trying to clean up a mess with the wrong tools.

Maybe it would be worth the investment in time and money to get the right tools for the jobs we are seeking to accomplish.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Wow! What a busy week it has been! I cannot even remember where most of it went. I got to enjjoy several excursions near the end of the week. Let me tell you about them...

Friday: I met Julio Pena at his house at 8:00am and we went bike riding down a bike trail at Mayakahatchee State Park... Lets just say, I have a new respect for Biking. WOW!

I expected it to be a pretty easy task, riding a bycicle through the woods on a trail. But after riding through the first creek, I wondered what I had gotten myself into... (WITH MY NEW SHOES) It may sound like I did not enjoy it, but I LOVED IT!

Dont get me wrong! It was a lot of work but it was a great experience.

Later on Friday Katie and I took Will to get some pictures taken at Sears! He is one cutie pie! Wow! They are great pictures!!

Then Saturday I went to Riverwood Golf Club. We went with 8 guys and that was so much fun! Thank you Mr. Kent!

I LOVE BEST BALL!! (that way whenever I screw up the game I can still do a great job and just pick up my ball and try again where one of the other guys left off!!!)

Well... I am tired, and I am going to bed!! Goodnight!

Saw Sarah Today...

This morning Katie and I got a phone call from a friend in our church and He told us that He was going to the Sarah Palin Rally today with Pastor Chip. We told them that we would get a hold of some tickets and meet them there. Katie and I rushed out the door, ran to the republican headquarters of Port Charlotte, and got some tickets. (Around 11:00am)

We all arrived at the Germain Arena by 12:30pm and walked a few miles from where we parked, and then continued walking as we tried to find the end of the line to get in... By the time we got to the end of the line, we realized that this rally was going to be jam packed. About two and a half hours later we finally made it in the building.

It was set up by God because they stopped letting people in just a few minutes after we walked in the doors... I cannot imagine waiting for over 2 hours just to be told... sorry there is no more room inside.

Well we went inside for a great rally... We were able to see Connie Mac, Tom Moroney, Charlie Crist (and his fiance), and the beautiful Sarah Palin. Wow! It was a great rally!
At one point there were about six hippie looking protesters and Sarah said: "My son is over in Iraq right now fighting for your right to protest"... THE PLACE WENT CRAZY!!! It was so neat to be a part of such an inspiring event!

It is funny, many people that I talked to said: They wouldnt have come this far or waited this long to see McCain, but for Palin, it was well worth it! :)

Talk about BIG SCREEN COMPUTER...

I am sitting in my parents home in Jacksonville right now typing on their TV Computer. It is basically Dell hooked up to their 70 inch big screen tv. I love it! I think it should be a requirement in every home! I could definitely get used to this!

We are having a great time up here in Jacksonville! Trinity Baptist College has really made some VAST Improvements! I enjoyed chapel so much more today than I ever have before. The music was incredible and it was really something to be proud of! I was so thankful for that!

I have seen improvements all over the campus from better signage to the new college welcome center and the extended parking lot... I am sure there is a lot more, but those are some things that made a much different impression!

We have 9 of us in all, and there are some girls that seem really interested in coming back. Praise The Lord

Well, we took our teens to Orange Park Mall today and I just have to say, when you leave a place you expect to come back having it look the same way, but I would describe this entire trip as being on the contrary. Everything from new roads to new stores... Everywhere I go things are different.

It is almost sad (although everything has been changed for the better) because it just isnt exactly the way I remembered it.

Well, I feel like singing the theme song from Disney's Carosel of progress... "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day..." Ok, I'm a geek! Have a great day!

college days...

Well, today is Tuesday and we will be leaving the day after tomorrow to go to Jacksonville! How exciting! I wish that there were more teenagers going, but the ones that are going are truly going to have a great time!

I know that the only reason I ever went to Trinity is because I went there and saw it for myself... then I realized I could be a student here and It would be so great! Well, here I am 6 years later trying to share the same blessing in my life to teenagers in my youth group!

Teenagers if you are reading this: COME TO COLLEGE DAYS!!!

I am very excited about next year, because we are going to have a lot of teenagers that fit in the age bracket! It will be a great time!

what an interesting day...

Today was a busy day... Katie and I began the day by calling Will's doctor and scheduling an appointment for him. He has definitely been feeling under the weather so we wanted to get him checked out. His doctor told us that she needs to run some tests to find out if he has Bronchialitis. This is some kind of sickness where fluid is in the lungs and causes major congestion and weezing.

So we are running the tests and we will find out what is going on later this week.
Pray that he gets better as soon as possible! Especially by Thursday because we will be driving to Jacksonville then, and that would not be a fun trip if he is not happy.

Well, then I spent most of the rest of the day in meetings... Pastor Chip and I were in a meeting for a while and then Pastor Dick joined us. I am excited about the results of the meeting. Katie and I are still praying for Gods will, but we believe that He is making it more clear.

It is amazing: The devotions today really applied to everything we are praying about. Israel was not sure about what he should do... (whether he should go to Egypt or not, but God made it clear to him) God is also working in Katie and my life showing us what his plan is for us.

I am so thankful for my wife! She has been everything that I have needed and more. She has been a cheerleader, an advisor, a friend, an encouragement, a helpmeet and a wonderful mother. I love you Katie! Thanks for supporting me so wonderfully!

God's Will?

no, this time I am not talking about my son... I am talking about life...

I am listening to one of my new favorite songs... "while I'm waiting" (listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD8Z-m4jaYw )it is a song on Fireproof that has such powerful words. There have been few times in my life where I have been so unsure about what God is doing around me.

I can't be to specific on here, just incase someone actually reads this, but I am looking forward to reading some of my heart thoughts years from now, and you will all probably know exactly what I am talking about then...

Well, I have been praying for something to happen for God to show me something, and it did happen... but I am not sure if God is showing me what I thought he would, or If he is showing me a different path. That may make no sense to you if you don't know what I am praying about, but maybe one day you will.

It is so comforting to know that regardless of the trials and frustrations and dissapointments that life brings, God is in control. I dont question Gods goodness, even today I have quoted: "I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living"

I would love to share all of my thoughts, but it would not be te best right now. So I just ask you to pray for me, pray for our church, pray that Godly decisions will be made.

The nice thing is that even though I am not sure which path God would have me go down, I know that I ONLY WANT HIS WILL!!! Because His will has never let me down in the past and I don't ever see that happening in the future. I just want Gods will.

Pray that it will be made clear.

Ready for another great week!

Time sure is flying by so fast! I cannot believe we are nearing the end of September! Wow!

Well this was a great week, I got a lot accomplished every day! That was nice. It was quite a productful week!

But that is the semi-boring stuff, so I will tell you about the fun stuff this week!

1. I FINALLY got my phone working with my outlook on my computer! It is so nice! I had to use a bluetooth connection to sync it all up. It took some time, but it is definitely worth it. (This helps by having both of my calendars and my tasks list sync'd together) NICE!!!

2. I got to go to Magic Kingdom with our faithful devotioneers!! We went on Saturday and had the best time! We met at the church at 6:15am and got back home at 12:30am. It was a FAST and LONG day!!

My favorite parts:
1. Both of my Pinapple Dole Whip Floats!!! If anyone learns how to make those I would be forever indebted to you!!

2. The spectromagic parade. (even though they changed the masks on the spectromen!!! I was/ am so sad about that! They just dont look as great anymore!!)

3. Space Mountain. Both times, but especially the second time when I rode in the front and when John got off the ride screaming to everyone that He pee'd his pants!! He really did! wow!

4. I enjoyed sleeping on the Carousel of Progress. It is a good ride, but I needed a nap!!

5. I had fun taking pictures with Mallory and Maddison and their glow sitcks.

6. I got to eat at my two favorite restaurants: Pecos Bill, and Cosmic Rays

7. I had fun convincing Alex beals to ride goofy's roller coaster in kitty land.

8. I had fun talking to some GREAT teenagers all the way home about really serious stuff!

9. I had fun watching the fireworks at the end of the day!! They were GREAT!!

10. I had fun putting my head on pillow when I got home! I was SO TIRED!!!

Well, That is probably my top ten list for what I enjoyed the most on Saturday! It was a great trip! I am excited about rewarding our teenagers again soon!

Well, I am off to work now! Pray for me this week! I want to have a VERY PRODUCTFUL WEEK!!!

Love you all! Lee

Ninja Warrior Finale

Well, tonight is the last night of our Ninja Warrior series. I am pretty excited about it. We will be doing everything from a cricket eating contest to a blindfolded race outside, and a few other crazy games in between.

Tonight I will be speaking on The Weapon of a Ninja Warrior: A Two Edged Sword
Obviously we need to be using our weapon everyday, it is even sharper than a two edged sword! Well, if you read this before Wednesday, September 17th at 7:00pm then pray for us tonght. I believe we will have at least one unsaved teenager tonight probably more like 3 or 4. I want to present the gospel in a clear fashion to them tonight, and I want to do it in a way that encourages them to Accept Christ TONIGHT!! (without pushing them into a decision)

Well, I will run for now, but I will be back later. Today has been a nice day considering the circumstances of some bad news from several different families we know. I wil be praying for each one of those issues frequently. Satan is working HARD! But we have our weapon! the word of God!

it has been so long...

wow... it seems like I have been on vacation in Jacksonville for quite some time! Ha! I have been home for quite a while, but I have been so busy that I have not had time to update this...

Well, since we have been home we have had many stresses, but even more blessings! Let me tell you all about it. Our new home is almost done... but we found out that we will not be able to move into it until the end of October. For a while there we literally thought we would be homeless unti lthe wonderful Mrs. Barb called and said that she would change her schedule so that we did not have to go live on the streets. Thank You Mrs. Barb! Thank you God!

Well, Katies parents just left yesterday after a week long visit with us! We had such a great time! We got to eat out at all of my favorite restaurants: Outback Steakhouse, Sonny's, and a couple others... We had a great time spending time with the family! Next time we hope that Hannah and backy get to come visit as well!! That would be so great!

One night while they were here we went to Boca Grande and went swimming on the beach. It was a lot of fun, however, Will did not enjoy the sand in all of his cracks and creveses. Praise The Lord I found a water hose and hosed him down so that he felt better!

There is much more to tell and so little time! I will come on here more often!

Thank God for His UNFAILING FAITHFULNESS!!!

Relaxing in Jacksonville

Well, today is Friday and My family and I are in Jacksonville visiting my parents. We are really enjoying ourselves. My parents just put in a new pool and I spent most of the day pruned yesterday, from swimming all day. Will loved swimming around in the pool. It was a blast to watch him!

now we are about to watch some good old family videos. Thiese will be fun~ Tonight Katie and I are going to go to starbucks. This is the same starbucks that Katie and I went to on our first date FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY!! Wow time FLIES BY!!

Will had his first tooth pop out yesterday on my Moms birthday. It is really cool~ My Boy is groing up!!

Well, I am very sick. Last night I felt it come on. I have a horrible sore throat and a horrible congested head!

Well, I am going to enjoy my family so I will go for now. I will add more later!

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

ready for a vacation.

Well, once again, we had a great night in church tonight! I am so thankful for this ministry and this youth group. We had 6 first time visitors tonight! It was so exciting! I think that they really enjoyed it and I think that if we can assimilate them into the youth group then we could consistently average above 40 teens. That would be great!

I had a fun day at work today. I did a whole lot of reasearch into something called non ad valorem assessments. That is a crazy name that means: Another random tax to pay for city maintenance. Our church has to pay more and more each year, and it is getting to be a rediculous amount of money. So I looked into contacting our county commissioner and many other routes to find a way to lower this unnecessary tax. I think it would be INCREDIBLE to be responsible for making a difference that would save the church tens of thousands of dollars.

Pastor Chip and I spent more time today talking about the Choir's Christmas Schedule... It was funny... after working on it all day long, Pastor brought it to me 5 minutes before the service started and told me to check it out tonight... I told him to set it on the counter and I would not forget it... He said: "yeah right", so I told him to put it in my office so that I would not forget it...
I forgot it anyway :)

I will listen to it first thing tomorrow morning! :)

I am excited about it: I think that we are going to go with the Splendor of Christmas. I LOVE IT! It definitely pushes that Christmas spirit... Lets just say, I am already in the mood for Christmas!!!

Well, I will finish with information about Gustov... the latest hurricane. The news tonight said that it could potentially become a category 5 hurricane and it is headed straight for New Orleans. Wow! Most of that city is still not restored from Katrina. That is terribly sad! I would LOVE for it to come here instead! (because if it were to come here, it would not have time to strengthen and it would only be a category 1)

Well... Do your devotions! We had a great study today of the story of Lot. He chose to entertain himself with sin instead of Turning away from it! As I watched "America's Got Talent" last night... I was reminded how easy it is to be like Lot and "entertain" myself with sin.

When as you think about most of the entertainment on those shows... it is disguisting! Lord help me and my family and my youth group entertain ourselves with things that please you!

Well, You are now updated on the life of Lee! :)

Monday, August 25, 2008

i love my family

I have had some great days in the last week. I am so thankful for the Lords blessings!

We had a great day again at church yesterday! It was very exciting and then after the evening service Katie and I went out with the youth group and a few others to Jason's Deli. There were 28 people there from our church. It was fun to go in there and take over the place.

Katie and I came home after that to watch the closing ceremony of the olympics. Wow! That was fantastic. It was absolutely... (whatever that word is that means you cannot take your eyes off of it!)

Today I went to work and had lots of fun hanging out with pastor Chip. I was in his office for a few office talking about everything from Praise Team, a few new music groups that we are starting, the Christmas Performance this year, and any other rabbit trails that we decided to run with! I enjoyed it thoroughly! :)

We also planned almost every Sunday for the rest of the year!! Wow! It is nice to know we are so far ahead. We planned a Series on Marriage, a series on our public responsibility (including a voting registration sunday), a Series on Stewardship and a few other things!!

Well, I had a very productful day! I even managed to win in a game of Command and Conquer III Tiberean wars! It was nice.

I am about to post the devotions for tomorrow and then I will probably be going to bed!

I will write more soon!

leetomlin.com

An Encouraging Night at Church

I am so thankful for nights like tonight... It is like the dessert of the week. God brings just the perfect people and they say the perfect things and it encourages you to go on for another year or two. :)

What an encouraging service we had. It may sound silly, but I love it when we come up with a game that our teens enjoy. I don't think that I will ever understand how to pick them. If I spend an hour coming up with what would seem to be an incredible game; it will bomb. But if I come up with something 5 minutes before the service as simple as lifting weights, the teens go crazy! I must say: I won the weight lifting competition tonight. I made my wife and son proud! :) LOL

Well, I preached on Job tonight and how he kept his faith through the trials he faced. It blows my mind, to think about what our teenagers go through, the trials they have faced, and are currently facing. I am praying for several of them specifically, and I need to pray more. Some of these teenagers are a modern day example of Joseph... they are living in a prison as they try to honor God and obey Him.

It was a great night! Thank you God!

Lightning Bolt beat the world record for the men's 200 tonight!!!
Very Cool!

My First Post

It is a little tough to hold Will and type a nice long post, so this one will not be too long, hopefully it will be nice though...

Today is August 19th, 2008. Katie and I have been married for 2 years! It is hard to believe that we have already been together for that long. I am realizing more and more just how fast time really does fly by. I am so blessed to have the Family that God has given me. My wonderful wife and my wonderful son bring so much joy to my life. I am a blessed man! Thank you God for giving me so much!!

Today was also the day that Tropical Storm Fay came to town. Our entire city shut down, for basically no reason. In the words of one of my teenagers: "We have thunderstorms worse than this all the time"

Katie and I had a nice relaxing day around the house. We slept in and then went shopping for a little bit in the afternoon after getting some chinese food for lunch at our new favorite chinese restaurant: China One.

Then we went to Kohls, Marshals and Circuit City. Will LOVED Circuit City!! He kept staring at something and I could not figure out what it was... then I caught him looking at it... He is a real man at heart. He could not take his eyes off all the big screen tv's on the other side of the store. It was hilarious! So I took him over and we walked all around the tv's. He realy seemed to enjoy it! He was definitely BORED TO DEATH comparitively at Marshalls. (Just like his Daddy) :)

Well I am looking forward to a nice evening resting, watching the olympics and maybe even playing a game or something. Tomorrow is Wednesday and those are always big days so we will see you then...
